Aunty Joanie welcomes me in traditional African style

What you are seeing above are the REMNANTS of a bowl of wonderful South African fruit and yes flakies and pepppermint crisps and lychees in my room at Aunty Joans at St. James. The lovely bedroom filled with sounds and smell of the ocean and memories and nostalgia. More pics to come tomorrow of the views. There was so much more in the way of food in that bowl and on the table that I had to ask Aunty Joan to take away some of the goodies like the liquorice allsorts because I thought I might just explode with all the wonderful things she had out for me. She did but then inadvertently left them within my eyesight, so I had to follow to point out that she'd better find a better hiding place. I arrived here just after five....we talked for a while....had some cool drinks, then a magnificent dinner of chops and salad....everything so wonderful. Then I went out for a walk along the main road to smell the intoxicating sea air and walked to the St. James station and back. I probably should keep my walking to daytime but the pull of the ocean is too great.
