Dispatch from Muizenberg internet cafe

I am at an internet cafe in Muizenberg.  Just walked past Granny's house on Beach Road.  I didn't go as far as the Sterns's home, but will.  It certainly feels a lot safer than it did 10 years ago.  We were concerned then even stopping in Muizenberg.  Bought a little biltong and a cream soda for lunch, and I am enjoying the air and the ocean here so much.  I just a very good haircut up the road in Muizenberg for 70 rand plus a 10 rand tip a scissor cut. Because I was so concerrned about carrying money, I only had that much to give her.  I needed the other 30 for lunch. (that is the biltong and cream soda.)  This is not a shout out for cash, it's just that I have been told not to carry valuables.  This morning earlier I took the train to  Claremont and then went with Dov and Sandy downtown to Fine Music Radio, which was just great.  Then they dropped me off at Claremont to come home.  I got off at Muizenberg and got my haircut then walked down to the Pavillion and this internet cafe.  Last time I took the train from Claremont-Wynberg was only 50 years ago. The train was actually very comfortable and for $.70, I was able to travel first class on the train. People were helpful and sweet.  Thank you Dov and Sandy for all you've done.
