
I thought that the nests hanging are those of thrushes, but I'm not sure now after googling thrushes. UPDATE...Jane and Ann inform me that they are weaver birds. So ixnay on the ushesthra. I do know that in the case of the birds who built the nests above the male builds the nest. Shows it off to the female. She choses the best architect to mate with. These hang from the trees of the house we meditated at. Also, Jane C, there are free roaming monkeys and baboons, waiting for you.
I was going to post an educational little exerpt about weavers versus thrushes, but find I can't paste stuff into the website. Too bad. Byt look up weavers yourself-- and thrushes. BTW- thrushes are from a family of birds known as "turdids". I'm sure there must be a joke there somewhere.
