Now it can be told
This sad picture of me was taken this evening. Friday. You might think it happened after a motorcycle accident, but it didn't. I was walking from my flat to the street with some gummy bears and tripped on a rock. Bloodied the person I was meeting took me to Settlers Hospital here in Grahamstown where a very nice English doctor, who might have just been born, stitched me up. Three stitches just under my eyebrow. The following day my eye went from virtually nothing to what you see plus plus. I wore a patch so as not to frighten any small children. But as of today I am taking it off. I thought the service I got from my British friend and from my new GP was excellent. I decided I should have one of my own in the event there are more similar adventures. Then last night the battery on my motorcycle went flat, and I left my bank card in the bank machine just topped off my first day after the accident, but today the news is on the up and up. I have a new bank card. My motorcycle for 500 rand is running again...and my eye, well, I can see out of it.
