Dateline. Grahamstown. Tuesday

A very good day
Did a lot of paperwork, got my university credentials, my new e mail
etc. Then had lunch with the dept head and two of the other broadcast
faculty.....went very well. One of them was nice enough to offer me a
bike. My flat is in a great location, about a mile and a half fr the
school. The very end part is uphill, much like double the hill from
Great Neck Station to our Great Neck house. So After I opened a
checking account in town with another new friend whose name I am
unable to pronounce because I continually put the Xhosa clicks in the
wrong place, I walked to the school, arriving in a real schwitz. The
town has a lot of cute n b and bs, and tons of history. It is
bordered by a township on one side, there may be another on Another
side. It feels very diverse. Interestingly most of the students in
the classes i am teaching are women. I went over to the radio station
here which is very powerful and they are going to give me two hours
probably on sun evenings. My blog site will have a new URL soon
Now to some Sonnenberg business -- the gums are almost eaten, D, so I
think the debate over the gums may be over. Also AJ actually
personally took me out to get them and in a celebration witnessed by
Wendy was heard to say "I love that nephew of mine, Peggys son. HES
THE BEST"
At anr rate the good news on our losing weight competition is that I
am swelling up with all the biltong I'm eating. I've got to stop.
Incidentally the local pic and pay doesn't have your wine. I was
going to lodge a complaint but it's too early.
